Shipdex™ is the International Business Rules (The Shipdex™ Protocol) developed to standardize the production and the exchange of technical and logistic data within the shipping community. The Shipdex™ Protocol applies to international specification S1000D™ at issue 2.3.

Shipdex™  Protocol will be presented to S1000D Community during the 2008 S1000D User Forum on October 21-23, 2008 at the Intercontinental Budapest in Hungary.

Hosted by the Air Transport Association (ATA), this year's event will be held in conjunction with the ATA e-Business Forum, providing the single, most comprehensive event dedicated to information exchange standards and technologies in the global aerospace and defence industry. Learn how S1000D has been widely adopted throughout the defence industry for the production and delivery of technical publications. Getting rid of paper manuals

On October 7th, Digital Ship will run its 2nd conference about Shipdex, the new standard protocol to provide ship technical information electronically.

GETTING RID OF PAPER MANUALS

If you think it is time shipping companies could have all the information in their shipboard equipment manuals electronically, rather than on paper, then you might like to consider attending the conference in Hamburg on May 14th, in association with Shipdex, about this subject.
