Do you plan to upgrade Shipdex Protocol to the latest S1000D issue ?
NO. At the moment we are not planning to upgrade Shipdex Protocol to the latest S1000D issue because we want to encourage companies to adopt Shipdex today and assure them that the Protocol is stable and mature. In other words we want to protect companies’ investments to be Shipdex compliant.
Of course, this does not mean that we will not improve the Protocol in the future. Shipdex Protocol Maintenance Group (SPMG) meets, at least, twice a year to evaluate:
· any kind of improvements requested by Registered Members via Change Proposal Forms (CPF)· the possibility to upgrade the Protocol to the latest S1000D issue
In any case, every change will be accepted by SPMG only under common agreement, in the full knowledge that all users may be affected by those changes.
